Katy McKay – Owner/Lead Teacher
Katy McKay is the owner and lead teacher of Mother Earth’s Children Family Child Care. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development as well as Spanish from San Diego State University. Katy has been working in the field of early childhood education for over 12 years in various settings, including preschool teaching, center-based child care, family child care, and home-based care as a nanny. She opened Mother Earth’s Children Family Child Care in 2007 after the birth of her daughter. Katy has a great passion for what she does and strives to offer the best possible care and education to the children and families she serves. She also values professional development in order to keep up to date with the latest research in early childhood education.
Sara Brobst - Teacher
Sara Brobst is a teacher in our preschool program. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Education from University of California, Santa Cruz, and she is currently completing early childhood education coursework at DeAnza College. Sara has cared for children in a variety of settings including preschool teaching, after school care, and as a long term nanny. After working with young children for close to ten years, Sara feels blessed to find a program which not only nurtures her skills but inspires her to learn more. In her free time, Sara enjoys knitting, reading, and cooking with her friends.
